South Iredell High School7

Statesville, NC | Iredell County

June 16, 2014

My son will be a Junior and this school has been a fantastic experience for him. The kids are relatively down to earth and it doesn't seem to have the drug problem Lake Norman has. As a parent, I am pleased with the parent/teacher communication. Seems that most teachers try to help the student as opposed to watching them struggle. Over all, I'd say for a family in a new area, no worries with this school!

I attended south Iredell for 2 years, and it is by far the most poorly funded, poorly staffed, and all around poor schools I've ever had the misfortune of attending. The teachers are on par with forrest gump in terms of ability to speak, teach, and do anything really. The staff seem to show a general disinterest to any student not an athlete. It's really, really sad to see so many potentially smart children miss out on an education because they had the misfortune of attending this awful, awful place. If you plan on coming here, prepare for the most grueling experience of your life, and may god have mercy on your soul.

I love this school. The teachers are great and there aren't a whole lot of groups.

I graduated from South. Now my son attends. The teachers and coaches are great. Parent involvement is very high at South. My son has learned so much just the short time he has been there. I have wonderful memories from my high school days at South also. South Iredell is a great school and would recomend to anyone looking for a great high school.
