Jeff Arzonico joined ROOST™ Real Estate with a strong background in business and education. A North Carolina native, he has lived around the country, but retains that NC has always remained home to him. Jeff returned to play college baseball and moved to the Lake Norman area to begin his career coaching college baseball at Davidson College. Jeff is an athlete at heart and his motivation, dedication, and work ethic from the field are apparent in his real estate transactions.
Jeff has a strong background in sales and marketing from his days coaching college baseball in Davidson and running multiple offices for a national rental car company. The fields may seem disconnected, but recruiting college athletes is actually very similar to working with home buyers. Potential students travel from around the country to see if Davidson is "the right fit" as their new “home” for the next four years. Parents and athletes would always comment on Jeff’s passion for the Lake Norman area and many athletes made the choice to spend their college years here because of our desirable lifestyle.
Spending four years in the classroom teaching high school students entrepreneurship and personal finance, Jeff was able to help today’s youth begin to make smart financial decisions preparing them for their future real estate endeavors. Jeff finds great fulfillment helping others achieve their goals, which is one of the reasons he enjoys working with real estate investors. Owning real estate investment properties himself, Jeff is always looking for the opportunity to meet and assist other investors in and around the local market.
Jeff lives in Mooresville with his wife Kelly, a school counselor in the Iredell Statesville School system, and their two daughters. He enjoys spending time on the lake with his family and breaking out his snow skis as soon the weather turns unfavorable for the water. Anyone who has worked with Jeff in the past will speak to his desire for success and his ability to creatively accomplish the task at hand. Call Jeff today to start the search for your dream home!
Jennifer started her career in real estate after relocating to North Carolina from New York in 2006. Her past experience includes a degree in drafting and design, as well as ownership of her own business for the five years previous to moving, as a home therapist.
In particular, Jennifer describes work with her former company as a challenging yet rewarding endeavor that taught her much about working with people and helping them achieve positive results through incorporating communication and teamwork. These factors, in addition to growing up in a family owned and operated business, started by her Grandparents, have contributed to Jennifer's success in her current business.
Working alongside her husband, John, she brings with her vast knowledge and common sense when it comes to dealing with all aspects of business ownership. Moreover, Jennifer has the uncanny ability to pay attention to "all" the details, a main characteristic in a successful manager and business person alike. Jennifer is someone whom you can trust to get things done right, the first time, and runs a company you can rely on for all your real estate needs.
Jennifer and her family live in Mooresville, North Carolina and enjoy the diversity that the Lake Norman area offers their life.
Originally from upstate New York, John Mikesh has always had a passion for all things “home.” Prior to settling into his career in real estate, John worked in the fields of construction, interior design and architecture—each of which serves him well when advising his clients.
From the moment he began his career in real estate, John fell in love with the profession, finding that it was a natural fit for his personality and complemented his ability to understand peoples’ needs—even when they themselves may not. In addition, it drew on his past experience, while quenching his interest for all aspects relating to the home.
After deciding he wanted to provide more for his family, John and his wife, Jennifer, sought to relocate to a more vibrant economy with greater lifestyle opportunities. Lake Norman was just the place!
Once settled, John quickly began carving out his share of the market. Year-after-year he continues to be one of the top Realtors in his market. He has also been featured in multiple issues of Charlotte Magazine as a “5-Star Professional,” holds awards from every training program he has taken, is a nationally recognized best-selling author on the subject of real estate, and continues to set challenging goals for the future.
John and Jennifer’s company, ROOST™ Real Estate was birthed out of necessity. When asked why they started the brokerage, John and Jennifer agree: “there isn’t a company out there that embodies the culture and environment we envision.” Creating their own company was their only option.
ROOST™ Real Estate is built upon a strong set of core values that recognize the importance of enhancing the client experience. Every member of the company shares in the commitment of achieving this goal. A true reflection of John’s determination can be summed up in one of his favorite quotes by Abraham Lincoln: “Good things come to those who wait, but only the things left by those who hustle.”
John and his family live in Mooresville, North Carolina and enjoy being connected to the community they serve as local business owners.

Kolleen Mikesh began her real estate career at a time when many were leaving the profession. During the “great recession,” the real estate industry was challenged arguably more than any other and many who had been working in real estate for years, found themselves finding other passions.
Kolleen, on the other hand, found her passion. By beginning her new career at a time when most people viewed the market as "challenging," Kolleen was able to lay a foundation that would set her apart from the rest.
